lOTTIE
Breed: Staffy Cross Sex: Female
We would love to get Lottie out of kennels and into a new home, either as a foster or adoption, as kennels are not for this beautiful girl!
Lottie is a beautiful medium sized cross breed (Staffordshire Bull Terrier x Shar-pei) who is approximately 7 years old.
Lottie is a loving and loyal dog who is well mannered, obedient and walks nicely on lead. She has sadly been returned to rescue after five years, due to a change in her family’s circumstances. She loves to play and get out exploring, then she likes cuddles and a good nap. At home she’s crate trained and ok to be left for periods.
Lottie has previously lived with children and with other dogs, and has played well with dog friends. HOWEVER Lottie is finding kennel life stressful, and this has fueled reactivity toward other dogs and some people. She has previously responded well to training, and we are hopeful that her reactivity will again improve with consistency and support from a dedicated and experienced adopter. At present however she will be best as an only dog in a child-free home.
Lottie is currently in South Yorkshire. She is neutered, microchipped & vaccinated. Anyone interested in fostering or adopting Lottie will need to make several visits for careful introductions and to get to know her well before any decision is finally made. We will consider a supporting training package as she moves into her new home, to maximise her chances of success. If you are interested, please get in touch for a chat with our rescue co-ordinator.
Please note: This dog has NOT been assessed with small children and other animals.
